Manchester, VT November 11, 2014 - Singer-songwriter duo Adrian Chirtea and Julian Woodrow announce the release of their first album “End of the Night”. The 17-year-old identical twins have been working on their collection of upbeat originals and crooning love ballads for over 2 years.
Now known as Take 2, the musical duo got their start under the band name Blackberry Jam, earning over 2.4 million views on YouTube. They have had great experiences competing on the popular X-Factor and The Voice network television competitions, making it all the way to bootcamp. They’ve also toured the Northeast, performing at public schools and encouraging other kids to pursue their musical dreams.
End of the Night portrays a diverse and rich sound appealing to a wide range of listeners.
“My favorite track on the album is Keep Me Dancin, it’s upbeat, fun and really catchy.” Adrian says. Other songs on the album range from the slow and swooning French Love Song, one Adrian wrote with The Lady and the Tramp song ‘Bella Notte’ in mind - to the acoustic pop song The Man. The Man is a ukulele piece with a fast-paced pop style. “The chorus sticks in your head and the beat moves your feet.” Julian says with a smile. “We get the audience singing along with us on this one!”
True to You has a folk-style feeling. Julian calls it, “Pop Folk” because it has the elements of folk with lush harmony and off the wall instruments like accordion, but it’s combined with the hard-hitting melodies of pop music.
There are also mainstream crowd-pleasing pop songs on the album. “Need to Have More has a catchy electric guitar and a poppin’ beat; the bass line hits hard on the chorus, coupled with a ripe melody.” Adrian describes, “Friends is one I like for the lyrics because it’s something all guys can relate to. It’s about being in the friend zone where you like the girl, but she just wants to be friends.”
A fan in Germany designed the CD album jacket. “We loved working through the designs with our friend to get a look that reflects us”, says Julian.
Rick Stevenson, Seattle based Director, Producer and Writer of major movie and television films says “Beyond their effortless vocals and incredible on-screen chemistry, Julian and Adrian possess something rare for artists their age. They possess a complete comfort with who they are and an even greater sense of humor about it. Hence, what you see is exactly what you get. They just make you happy and leave you wishing they were your best friends.”
